A house in a natural setting, Semigalia.
A single-storey residential house of approximately 80 square metres is being designed in the historic land of Semigallia, located between Lithuania and Latvia. This is a tranquil, nature-surrounded region, where cultural heritage harmoniously blends with contemporary architecture.

The building is envisioned as a lightweight timber-frame constructionstructurally clear, well-suited for fast and sustainable building practices. The main façade colour – blue – subtly integrates into the landscape, echoing the calm motifs of sky and water.

Wooden windows are chosen to ensure thermal comfort, natural ventilation, and a gentle aesthetic. The selected natural, durable materials are climate-resistant and aligned with the local colour palette, highlighting the principles of sustainable architecture.

A roof with solar panels enables on-site electricity production for daily needs, reducing the ecological footprint and supporting energy independence.

This project is intended for those who appreciate quiet aesthetics, a responsible lifestyle, and a slower, more natural rhythm deeply rooted in the natural and cultural environment of Semigallia.
